It's spelt plus fort for harder and is sometimes said during intercourse, as is plus vite for faster.
As for pronunciation, in France, as in every country, there are regional differences in pronunciation.
They range from plu (north) .... to .... pluss (south).
In French, certain letters are silent for northerners and pronounced by southerners.
